Welcome AMAZING BOSS MOM We are so glad you found us because that means you have a burning desire to create something in this world...something that positively impacts people AND also makes you money. You are in the right place. Here at Boss Mom, we know all too well the challenges of raising babies and businesses at the same time and you need more than just great resources (which we have) you also need a strong support system (we have that too). Just like all moms you need a simple business because life is complex and you should never have to apologize for having a sometimes unpredictable schedule. You can build a really successful (and profitable) business in 15 hours a week, you just have to know how (and we are going to show you). We interview amazing ladies who share their struggles and successes as well as solo episodes where I guide you through our Nurture to Convert System designed to help Boss Moms raise their business and babies at the same time. I'm Dana Malstaff, founder and CEO of Boss Mom LLC, and I'll be your host.

Running a business while being a mom isn’t always easy, and the events of last year only added to the challenges. However, there is something to be grateful for every day, and sometimes we just need a shift in perspective to see it.

Finding the ray of sunshine in any situation isn’t always easy, but it’s possible if we’re willing to look past the obstacles we’re faced with.

How can we find joy each day, no matter what life throws our way? What can we do to remind ourselves that we are enough as we are, and channel that energy into everything we do?

In this episode, host of The Small Victories Podcast and founder of One Leg Up Productions, Pauline Victoria shares how she finds happiness each day as a woman born without limbs.

3 Things You’ll Learn in This Episode

  • How to stop letting hard times get us down:
Most entrepreneurs can relate to super high highs and devastating low lows. While no one wants to hit a low point, it’s important to remember that the most growth comes from the hard times.

  • Why we need to stop trying to do it all on our own:
Over the past couple of years, it’s become a badge of honor to say we do everything on our own… but the truth is no one enjoys doing everything, and no one is good at juggling it all. Have the right people on hand and know when to ask for help.

  • How to overcome rejection:
The two things that keep us from going after our dreams are judgment and feelings of unworthiness. Combat the first by remembering that people’s reactions to our products, businesses, and even ourselves are a reflection of them, not us.

We all want to have great businesses that make money, solve problems, and help people to get results.

As e-learning continues to boom, it’s become more critical to have tools that allow people to learn on their mobile devices. More and more people want to learn on-the-go and in podcast format.

The more spaces we can create that make education easy, the more we can cut through the challenges of getting people to use and implement our content.

My guest today is a Boss Mom who built an audio platform that allows course creators to turn their content into private podcasts. How does the platform work, and how can it help people get better results from our courses?

In this episode, entrepreneur and founder of Hiro.fm, Carla White shares the power of learning through listening, and why the future of e-learning is on our phones.

3 Things You’ll Learn in This Episode

  • Why e-learning still has so much opportunity and room to grow:

E-learning is a multi-billion dollar industry, but it hasn’t really changed much since its inception. Much of e-learning is still tethered to computers, which makes it hard for us to learn on-the-go. Hiro.fm allows course creators to upload their content in podcast form, allowing people to listen and learn on-the-move.

  • How to meet the demand of today’s e-learning students:

People want relevant, on-demand content that solves specific problems. They want targeted educational information that is dispensed through a channel that makes internalizing and implementing it easier.

  • How to publish content that matches how we learn:

There are 3 levels of education, listening, learning, and implementation. When e-learning is tethered to a computer, a lot of people are only able to listen, they don’t have the time or the space to implement it. The people who find the most success in our programs are the ones who can actively listen to things over and over. If we can allow people to learn on-the-go, while they’re making dinner, driving their kids around, or working out, we can give them more space to internalize and implement.
