When it comes to getting featured, we need a pitch that gets people instantly captivated by what we have to share. It gives us an opportunity to get better at what we want to say and the way we say it.

How do we ensure that our pitches have the correct angle and are positioned in a way that makes featuring us a no-brainer? Why should we share stories and discussions when it comes to pitching other people?

CEO of Pursuing Results Matt Johnson joins me again to talk about pitching people with the right angle and getting featured. We also talk about college alternatives and leveraged mentorship.

It’s evident that the world and how we do things is changing, especially how we grow and run our businesses. A big part of this comes down to the people within our businesses and the way we lead them.

In this episode, the CEO of Pursuing Results, Matt Johnson returns to discuss the power of leveraged mentorship and what the future of leadership looks like.

There’s nothing like walking into our homes and feeling like they’re truly ours, and that in every nook and cranny, our identities are apparent. We all have unique personalities, quirks, stories and styles, but so many of us don’t see those things reflected in our spaces, and that affects our wellbeing.

How do we bring our stories and lifestyles into how we arrange and decorate our homes? Can we take control of the clutter so that we feel calm in our spaces?

In this episode, certified Interior Designer and an entrepreneur, Jessica Velazquez talks about how to catapult your inner designer and decorate our homes with confidence.

For a home to be inspiring, it doesn’t have to be perfect, look like a furniture store or an Instagram influencer’s home. It’s a house where you walk in and you can see who lives there. -Jessica Velazquez

A lot of times, once we reach our goals, we want to do more. The list of things we want to achieve keeps growing, and new goals take the place of old ones.

In this episode life coach, podcast host and practicing attorney Tracey Coates joins me to discuss what it means to do more, why it differs from person to person and how we can embrace failure and use it as a currency for success.

Courses are everywhere - everyone’s talking about them, offering them and telling entrepreneurs to create them. I get it, the natural progression of knowledge and growth is making a course about it.

But before we even think of creating a course, certain things have to be in place because great content isn’t enough, even if it’s put together beautifully.

So what needs to happen before we create a course? Why is messaging so important? In this episode, I’m talking about how to get a course to work for you at the right stage in your business.

No matter how good your course is, if your messaging isn’t right all the course has to stand on is what it teaches, and that’s not enough. -Dana Malstaff

A lot of the messaging we hear in business today is all about fast growth, overnight success, and things falling into place quickly, and we feel bad because we aren’t “successful yet”.

Building a really great business takes time, and that’s a good thing. We have to go through multiple iterations to figure out what works, and be the intern in our business before we can be the CEO.

If we forced our businesses to grow up faster we’d miss out on the powerful discoveries, market research, and incremental microshifts we get from slowing down.

In this episode, I’ll share why slow growth is so much better than overnight success.

Moms are notorious for letting clutter crowd our space. We rarely feel like we have our own dedicated space in our homes, and we’re always looking for a tiny nook and cranny to work and run our businesses.

Decluttering isn’t just about having a cleaner, more organized house, it’s about creating the space that supports our mental and emotional health. How does decluttering put us in creative flow and help us get more done?

In this episode, founder of Motherhood Simplified and Boss Mom Virtual Retreat speaker, Krista Lockwood returns to talk about the power of decluttering and creating space.

Our physical environment can support us in being who we naturally are. -Krista Lockwood

Guest Bio

Krista Lockwood is the Founder of Motherhood Simplified, where she teaches decluttering for moms who don’t want to be full blown minimalists. In 2013, she and her husband moved from Alaska to Florida with only one suitcase each. While she doesn't believe you need to go that extreme, she has been able to master the balance of having enough, but not too much. Krista strongly believes we all have what it takes to create the lives and homes we want, no matter what that looks like. On top of her courses offered on decluttering, Krista is the host of the Motherhood Simplified Podcast.

One of the biggest pieces of marketing advice we’re given is to put considerable effort towards writing really good content - that the more well-written an email, sales page or website is, the better it is at connecting with people.

The truth is, filling pages with content just to tick a box isn’t just exhausting, it can also work against us.

What matters more than the content is the message and its ability to tap into people’s hearts and souls. In this episode, I’m going to share why writing good content shouldn’t be our primary focus, and how this actually makes marketing less stressful.

Business and spreading the message that you want to spread shouldn’t be exhausting, it should be invigorating, passionate, life-giving, exciting and impactful. -Dana Malstaff
